About Us
Shalom Rescue Foundation was born out of a profound awareness of the struggles faced by underprivileged children and vulnerable individuals living in the shadows of society. It began with Eustacia, a young mother, who encountered a harsh reality that forever changed her perspective. One day, she met Christiana, a seven-year-old girl, barefoot and scavenging for scraps instead of being in school. Poverty had stolen Christiana’s childhood, leaving her with no access to education, healthcare, or safety. Sadly, her story was not unique.
As Eustacia delved deeper, she uncovered a crisis of heartbreaking magnitude. Countless children like Christiana were trapped in cycles of poverty and exploitation. They suffered from malnutrition, lacked access to medical care, and were exposed to abuse and neglect. Many worked in unsafe and exploitative conditions, their potential and futures erased before they had even begun. These children needed more than education; they needed comprehensive support to rebuild their lives.
Eustacia recognized that hunger, trauma, and instability were insurmountable barriers to learning and growth. Children arrived too hungry, sick, or scared to engage in education. It became clear that addressing their needs holistically—providing food, healthcare, safety, and emotional healing—was essential to breaking the cycle of poverty.
In 2020, fueled by compassion and a vision for change, Eustacia and a group of dedicated advocates established Shalom Rescue Foundation. This NGO was created with a singular mission: to uplift underprivileged children and vulnerable individuals by addressing their immediate needs and equipping them for a brighter future. Through quality education, nutrition, healthcare, and safe spaces, the foundation empowers children to reclaim their childhoods and envision opportunities they never thought possible.
What began as one mother’s determination has grown into a city-wide movement of hope and transformation.
