We are honored to announce that Shalom Rescue Foundation has been elected as the Secretary for the Community of Practice (CoP) Freetown, Sierra Leone. The Community of Practice is a coalition of approximately 150 organizations united in the fight to end sexual and gender-based violence against women and girls.
As Secretary, Shalom Rescue Foundation is committed to strengthening collaboration, facilitating effective communication, and driving impactful initiatives that protect and empower survivors. We will work diligently alongside our partners to advocate for policy reforms, enhance survivor support services, and raise awareness about the urgent need to combat gender-based violence in all its forms.
We at Shalom Rescue Foundation also recognize and commend Mr. Samuel Borbor for his tireless dedication as our representative within the Community of Practice. As a passionate activist, Mr. Borbor has played a key role in shaping policies that protect women and girls, advancing legal reforms, implementing prevention strategies, and leading community outreach initiatives. His unwavering commitment to breaking the cycle of violence has empowered countless survivors to rebuild their lives with dignity and resilience.
